Intern or Volunteer – Safety Net Project

The Safety Net Project offers internships and volunteer opportunities at our Lower Manhattan offices on a rolling basis. We welcome undergraduates, graduate students, law students, and volunteers seeking to contribute to our advocacy and legal work by assisting our staff.

We encourage applicants to either respond to a specific posting or send us a proposal for an internship. Students or recent graduates may intern during the spring, summer or fall semesters. Proposals may be sent to snp@urbanjustice.org.

Due to the high volume of applicants, we cannot respond to applications unless selected for further consideration. Please do not contact us by mail, telephone, or FAX. People of color, LGBT individuals, individuals who have personal experiences with poverty, and individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.

The Urban Justice Center is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will be afforded equal employment opportunities without discrimination because of race, religion/creed, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, military status, predisposing genetic characteristics, victim of domestic violence status or marital status.
