Additional Ways to Give
The Urban Justice Center accepts donations to support our justice-centered work on the behalf of low- and no-income New Yorkers in many forms. For standard donations, please use this form. Additional donation methods are laid out below. If you don’t see the option you are looking for, email us at Development@urbanjustice.org for more information.
If you are gifting using any of the methods below, please contact our Development Department (Development@urbanjustice.org) to ensure your donation is received.
Give a Matching Gift
Your generosity can be doubled (sometimes even tripled) with a matching gift from your company! Please check with your employer to see if they match donations made by employees to non-profit organizations. If they maintain a list of preferred charities, ask how you can have the Urban Justice Center vetted for the list. UJC is already a preferred charity on the following platforms: Benevity, BrightFunds, Fidelity, and Schwab Charitable.
Give by Wire or Electronic Funds Transfer
To make a contribution via wire or electronic funds transfer, email us at development@urbanjustice.org, and we will send you details on how to make the transfer.
Give by Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A donor-advised fund, or DAF, is an investment account that is used for charitable giving. They are administered by a third-party, investment platform. To make a contribution from your DAF, please follow the instructions below:
Please email our Development Department (development@urbanjustice.org) and let us know a) the third-party sponsor of your DAF (e.g. Fidelity, CharityVest, Vanguard, etc.); b) the amount of your prospective donation; c) the name of your donor-advised fund (if different from your individual name)

Login to your DAF account
Navigate to the page where you can make a contribution to a non-profit (usually called “Make grant to charity”), search for: -

Give Stock
If you would like to make a contribution of stock to the Urban Justice Center, please do the following:
Contact our Development Department (Development@urbanjustice.org) In the email, please indicate:

The name of the stock (company name and/or stock ticker symbol)

The approximate date you will complete the transaction
Gift through a Will
When you include the Urban Justice Center in your estate planning, you designate a significant gift to the future of New York City.
You can designate UJC to receive a specific amount or a percentage of the balance of your estate in your will or revocable trust. Below is sample language you can share with your drafting attorney.
Sample Bequest Language
“I give and bequeath to the Urban Justice Center, a New York City based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (the sum of ________ dollars), (all or ____% of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) for its general purposes.”
Give Through Retirement Plans & Life Insurance Policies
By naming the Urban Justice Center as the beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy, you designate a significant gift to the future of New York City, with little financial commitment now. You may also be eligible for additional tax benefits. We recommend that you consult your tax advisor for more information.
