Charlene Jones is a Director and Associate General Counsel at Citigroup, where she serves as a member of Citi’s Global Diversity Council for Legal. She is also a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association. She received her J.D. from New York University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in History and Africana Studies from New York University College of Arts and Science. Prior to joining Citi, she was an associate in the New York office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP. It was at Paul, Weiss where she first became acquainted with the UJC through her pro bono work with UJC’s Community Development Project (CDP). Partnering with CDP, she represented over a dozen restaurant workers who filed suit against their employer for multiple labor law violations. Given her passion for and involvement in pro bono work, which is undoubtedly fueled, in part, by having been raised in an underserved community in New York, she is intimately aware of why the mission of the UJC is vitally important. She is thrilled to be able to give back to the city she grew up in by serving as a member of the UJC’s Board of Directors.
