DVP consistently offers free education to service providers and the community at large. Our attorneys and clinicians offers forums and legal clinics on-site at schools, hospitals, other agencies and local libraries throughout the five boroughs of NYC. In addition, we provide legal education through technical assistance in group and individual environments. In a typical month, our staff hosts 10 education and outreach events to varying size groups. To learn more about upcoming outreaches and trainings or if you’re interested in receiving technical assistance, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
DVP goes out to the communities in the five boroughs of NYC to provide legal clinics for custody/visitation, child support and information about obtaining orders of protection. For more information about upcoming legal clinics, email email@example.com.
NYC Family Justice Centers
Due to our track record of success and excellent client services, DVP has an established partnership with the Mayor’s Office to Combat Domestic Violence. Our offices are set up within all of the existing NYC Family Justice Centers ("FJC") in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. The FJCs house numerous providers under one roof. As a result, our ability to collaborate with borough specific service providers is enhanced through uniquely intimate relationships with those front-line agencies. Therefore, survivors benefit from easier and more mindful referrals with an expedient exchange of non-privileged information to navigate seamlessly through the system.
